Pillars of our community
Serving as industry and community leaders enables the Empire management
team to better serve their company and their clients. Involved in every
aspect of the building industry, they are well-informed and have a
voice in decisions that affect both builders and homebuyers. Empire
Builders began under the leadership of husband and wife team Rick and
Amy Melson. CEO Rick Melson is a past president of the Collier Building
Industry Association (CBIA). Amy has been Secretary and Treasurer of
the corporation since its inception, and is the licensed Real Estate
Broker for Empire Realty, a division of Empire Builders.
President of Empire Builders, Bill Slavich, is the
2002-2003 President of the Florida Home Builders Association
and a past president of CBIA.
Empire has been honored with many awards over the years. Empire's Veranda model
captured the coveted 2002 Aurora Award. The Veranda
also received awards for Best Interior Design, Best Master
Bath Design and Best Overall Design for homes over one
million dollars in the 2001 CBIA Parade of Homes.
